Meet the Therapist

Shelly Ray, LPC Associate

Hello, I’m Shelly Ray, the owner and founder of Elevate Counseling & Therapy. I have been working with children since 1995, dedicated to education since 2005, and began counseling since 2023. My experience spans school counseling, supporting children and adolescents through development, and working within the juvenile probation system.

My practice is a supportive space for adolescents and adults who feel stuck, misunderstood or disconnected. You may be experiencing anxiety, frustration or uncertainty about who you are and what you want from life. Together in therapy, we’ll explore strategies to communicate more effectively, cope with challenges, set healthy boundaries, manage stress, and take steps toward elevating yourself to a more positive and hopeful future.

My philosophy blends multiple mental health theories and approaches so that therapy can be tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll explore what strategies and tools work best for you, creating a personalized plan that supports your growth, healing, and the positive changes you want to see in your life.

I am committed to helping individuals feel seen, heard and supported through genuine, honest conversations in a safe, nonjudgmental space. Therapy can provide a calming and grounding environment to gain clarity, foster connection, and deepen your understanding of yourself. My approach is authentic and rooted in trust, and I will meet you right where you are.

My goal is to help every person who crosses my path believe that they are important, needed, and valued.
— Shelly Ray
